Paediatrician- qualified/certified to practise in Ontario

Community Pediatric Office Associate
I am looking for an individual who is willing to start with part-time work; I can guarantee 2 x 0.5 days a week to start, and then work up to full time.

The office hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-5 pm and Friday 9 am to noon. A medical secretary is available for those times. At present, we have a large waiting room and 4 offices to see patients, 1 office at the back to do paperwork and have lunch. I have Accuro electronic medical records. The office has basic pediatric examination equipment.

The applicant must be licensed as a general pediatrician but can have subspecialty interest as well. Developmental pediatrics would be an asset. Job description includes patient visits with appropriate charting, letters, forms to fill as needed, making referrals, ordering and reviewing test results, giving immunizations and injections of medications.

I am a pediatrician and pediatric endocrinologist, with a well-established practice. I receive new referrals for pediatric endocrinology as well as general pediatrics, and requests for newborn care and care of complex children. I am planning to decrease my office hours. I would be happy to supply new patients to the successful candidate and also have them cover my practice when I am on vacation/leave or am unable to see my patient.
There are no evening or weekend or holiday shifts, no on-call at present although we sometimes review office emails and answer patient/parent concerns after hours, but not on an urgent basis.
I share the office with the children’s after hours clinic, which has evening, weekend and holiday hours, so not available for my use then. I have another subspecialty pediatrician working in the office 1-2 days a week, about 5-6 days a month. They have their own practice, although we do cover each other’s subspecialty patients.

At the onset of the contract, I will be onsite for a few weeks and then available for virtual advice.
This would be on a temporary contract for 4-6 months with option for a longer contract should both parties be agreeable.
Starting date July-August 2024, but flexible

Office Location: 1100 Sheppard Ave East, suite 100, North York ON
